pin to reality: terrarium

I love jars.

Big. Blue. Clear. Small.

Old. New. (How's that for a rhyme?)

I love maiden hair ferns and moss.

I love Pinterest. Like a lot.

After all of the Christmas loveliness went back in the attic, I needed something fresh for my kitchen table.

Something that is not too seasonal but is still fresh and fun.

This little Pin beckoned me to make it become a reality instead of sitting on my boards to just look at.

So, I obliged.

A terrarium.
The most difficult part of this project was the decision making process in the plant department at Lowes. I wanted some variations in height.
Total cost of the project: $25. Not too shabby....
Simple steps: Just layered the following in the big-mac-daddy-jar:
Added some pebbles, soil, a sweet little maiden hair fern and some indoor friends for her.
Top with a little moss and this jar full of green loveliness is on my kitchen table now.
